Is this an alternative to Facebook?
Jan. 13th, 2025 10:31 pmI posted on DailyKos (here: "Alternatives-to-the 'F-word'?") asking about potential Facebook replacements. I brought up my disappointment with the DailyKos answers over on MeWe, and someone said "I like Dreamwidth". That made me realize others had suggested Dreamwidth to me, so I looked up this site. Is this a viable alternative to Facebook?
UPDATE 2025-01-18: I've started a wiki page where I'm keeping track of the alternatives I'm considering trying to champion:

I haven't added Dreamwidth to the list, and I'm not sure I should. Please convince me I should.
